Vista Verde is a low-income housing project in Breckenridge, CO that offers 172 workforce housing units, ranging from studios to three bedrooms. The project shall include a total of four walk-up apartment buildings with interior corridors. On-site amenities will include a leasing office, fitness areas, laundry room, a community room with kitchen, and electric charging stations. Vista Verde Workforce is expected to house 330 members of the community.
Given and Associates provided the HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical design for the project,which included a split system all electric heat pump the HVAC design. The project includes efficient building design that employs best practices from Zero Energy Ready Homes, passive house strategies, and Enterprise Green Communities. The Vista Verde community received ULI Colorado's 2023 Impact Award for Innovation.
