James received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Metropolitan State University in 2012. He began his career in HVAC design in 2013 as a Mechanical / Plumbing Designer in Denver, CO. James came to Given and Associates in 2017, and passed the EIT exam in 2019. He obtained his P.E. and rose to Project Manager in 2022.
James develops construction documents utilizing a custom, integrated Revit library starting from schematic design through construction administration while maintaining value and constructability. James was a part of the team that finished the City of Golden’s first LEED Platinum project. His design experiences has included High and Mid-Rise, Mixed-Use, Multi-Family, Senior Living, and Tenant Improvements.
